Mass Timber Lamella Hangar

A mass-timber aircraft maintenance and administrative complex for Tyndall Air Force Base, and a collaborative comprehensive studio project with Harrison Floyd, Marissa Cutry and Sai Sreekar Chebiyyam. Featured here is predominantly the work of myself and Harrison.

• Designed the hangars, while Harrison developed the integrated support modules
• Developed the mass timber lamella structure and details
• Produced the associated renderings and graphics

Our goal was to keep every schematic and programmatic requirement of the Air Force standards while translating them into the grammar of mass-timber construction, not simply swapping steel and concrete for timber.
